I've been creating more journal pages. The rainbow colors make my heart sing. They're simple enough, and I really enjoy making them. I downloaded a bunch of textures to use to make more, and I still have a lot to go. It's distracting me from writing - and from the laundry.

Digital Art Journaling
Using gradients, public domain photos, my photos, textures, light leaks, texts, cut outs, and digital scrapbooking paper, I have spent the afternoon art journaling on my phone. It feels so good! It's very enriching and cathartic. Welcome to my creative space, where I strive to reap the therapeutic benefits of art. Making these art journal … Continue reading Digital Art Journaling
The Beauty of Instant Photography
One of my favorite tools in my creative toolbox is my Instax Mini 11 camera. I love the soft, dream like quality of the photos. Having prints instantly is also pretty nice. I like photographs I can hold in my hand and save. Of course a lot of shots don't come out great, at least … Continue reading The Beauty of Instant Photography
Weird Dream, Art Book, African Poetry
So I had a weird dream. I was working for a publisher and I had to meet a best selling author. Her last book was deep and dark, and she was putting out a new book. I was told I had to meet her at a mall food court atca noodle shop she owned. So … Continue reading Weird Dream, Art Book, African Poetry
Recent Paintings

I want a 3D moodscape to express my highs and lows of Bipolar, as well as the mountains and valleys of being a creative. I may submit them to a show or sell them. This year I will … Continue reading New Projects In The Works
Christian Creativity
God is THE Creator. Creator with a capital C. And if you're a Christian, you're supposed to strive to be like Him as much as you can. Yet while the most Christians are good with ideas like charity and self sacrifice, few embrace the idea of creativity. Being like God when it is drudgery is … Continue reading Christian Creativity
Still Lifes
So I had an idea (probably not original) of doing still life photographing of objects that are part of my daily life. My husband has taken my daughter to a birthday party (side note. Can we agree that requiring a parent to stay at a 3rd grade party is just lame) and I'm washing her … Continue reading Still Lifes
Riding the Rollercoaster
If I could show you my mood graph, you would see few jagged peaks interspersed with long valleys lately. Functioning has been difficult. However, over the weekend having my husband here has been a balm to my soul. We've gotten important shopping done, watched the new Jurassic World, and worked on the house. He went … Continue reading Riding the Rollercoaster
